754 Vacancies on the Council and Co-option of New Members
The Clerk reported that no request for an election in respect of the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr Holt had been received and it was now for the Council to co-opt a person to fill the vacancy. The vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr Marks also remained unfilled.
Since the last meeting Mr Holt had advised that the personal circumstances, which caused him to resign, had changed more rapidly than had been expected, and he had expressed an interest in rejoining the Council. There were, therefore, 3 expressions of interest for the 2 vacancies.
It was moved by Mr Hounsell, seconded by Mr Townson and duly agreed that voting be by way of signed ballot. A majority of votes was declared in favour of M/s Hooper and Mr Holt
RESOLVED That M/s H Hooper of 29 Home Orchard, Hatch Beauchamp and Mr J Holt of The Old Barn, Hatch Beauchamp be co-opted as members of the Council.
The meeting closed at 7. 43pm.
William F Rogers
Chairman
