There were no declarations of interest

1176 Planning Application No19/2005/001 – erection of stables and tack room in field to rear of Springfields

Members considered this application

RESOLVED that TDBC be informed that the Council objects to this application for the following reasons

the materials proposed to be used in the construction of the building are inappropriate in this location

the development in this location is likely to cause a nuisance to neighbouring properties and be prejudicial to health as it is sited too close to other properties

1177 Planning Application No 19/2005/002 – residential development of land at Little Wilcox

Members considered this application

RESOLVED (1) that TDBC be informed that the Council accepts the principle of residential development, but

is concerned about access to the site and would need to be satisfied that full and proper site lines were provided, requiring if necessary the re-alignment of Station Road, and that a footpath be provided in Station Road,

would query the site measurements quoted in the application which appear to be a substantial over-statement

would also draw attention to the housing needs report recently prepared by the Community Council for Somerset

(2) that SCC be informed of the application and its implications on the proposals to carry out improvements to Station Road, as it would now appear appropriate to review the positioning of the carriageway

The chairman closed the meeting at 7.40pm
