Present:- Mr Hounsell (chairman) Mrs P Kent, Messrs Buck, Downie, Fowler, Graham, Holt (from Minute No 1094 ) and Parsons.
Apologies:- M/s H Hooper.
In Attendance:- Mr Crossley (Clerk)
1092 Declarations of interest
Mrs P Kent and Mr Fowler declared prejudicial interests in Minute No 1095 and left the meeting whilst this item was being discussed
1093 Planning Application No 19/2004/009 for erection of dwelling (including balcony to rear), change of use of strip of land adjoining from agricultural to domestic, adjacent to 8 Crimthorne Cottages
Members considered this application, which varied the approved plans by adding a balcony to the rear of the property
RESOLVED that TDBC be informed that the Council objects to the application as the proposed changes would be out of proportion to the approved dwelling and the other dwellings in the row.
1094 Planning Application No 19/2004/010 for erection of first floor extension, and annexe with link extension at Rose Cottage
The Chairman adjourned the meeting to allow a member of the public who was present to speak about the proposal. On reconvening the members considered this application for planning permission
RESOLVED that TDBC be informed that the Council objects to the application as it is disproportionate in size to the existing dwelling and would amount to a new dwelling outside the village envelope where there is a presumption against development, the application is deficient in that it does not contain proposals for dealing with foul drainage, and access is sub standard for a new dwelling
1095 Pallet Storage at Hatch Mews Business Park
Approval had been sought in accordance with the terms of Condition 15 of Planning Permission 19/2000/005 to establish a storage area on 2 areas allocated as parking spaces
RESOLVED that TDBC be informed that the Council opposes the proposal on the grounds of loss of car parking spaces, on amenity grounds, and because it would represent a fire hazard, and that TDBC be asked to enforce the existing condition as pallets are being stored in contravention of its provisions.
