HATCH BEAUCHAMP PARISH COUNCIL

Minutes of an extraordinary meeting of the Hatch Beauchamp Parish Council held in the Village Hall on Tuesday 2 December 2003 at7.00pm.

Present:- Mr Hounsell (Chairman), M/s Hooper, Messrs Buck, Downie, Fowler, Graham, Holt, and Parsons.

1000 Declarations of interest

Mr Hounsell declared a prejudicial interest in Minute No 1001 (tree works to rear of 29 Home Orchard) and left the meeting for the discussion of this item. M/s Hooper did not arrive at the meeting until after this item (minute No 1001) had been considered.

Mr Buck declared a prejudicial interest in Minute No 1003 (installation of solar panels at The Cider House) and left the meeting for the discussion of this item.

1001 Application to carry out tree work to one oak at 29 Home Orchard (Application No 19/2003/18T)

Members considered this application for work to a tree covered by a Tree Preservation Order

RESOLVED That consideration be deferred to enable a copy of the tree surgeon’s report (which did not accompany the copy of the application passed to the Council) to be obtained, and for the views of the TDBC Heritage Officer.

1002 Application to retain canopy to front of Old Post Office Cottage Village Rd (Application No 19/2003/019)

This application had been received following representations which had been made by the Council on the need for planning permission for changes which had been made to the front elevation of this property.

RESOLVED That 1) the Council express some concerns about the proposal, and TDBC be asked for information on what is behind the canopy and why it is needed, and if there are some problems which need concealing whether the Conservation Officer is able to give advise on what might be acceptable in a Conservation Area

2) TDBC be further asked whether the application is in the correct format given that the property is in a Conservation Area.

 

 

 

 

 

1003 Retrospective listed building consent to install solar panels at The Cider House Capland Lane (Application No 19/2003/020LB)

In considering this application members also had before them a letter of objection from a local resident

RESOLVED That TDBC be informed that the Council objects to this proposal as submitted because if its impact on the character and setting of a listed building
