Minutes of an extraordinary meeting of the Hatch Beauchamp Parish Council held in the Village Hall on Wednesday 3 September 2003 at 7.30pm.

Present:- M/s Hooper, Mrs P Kent, Messrs Buck, Downie, Graham, Holt, Hounsell..

Apologies:- Messrs Fowler and Parsons.

In Attendance:- Mr Crossley (Clerk)

(Prior to the commencement of the meeting the Chairman invited members of the public who were present to speak on any items included on the Agenda and two persons made representations about Planning Application 19/2003/12)

951 Declarations of interest

M/s Hooper and Mr Hounsell declared a personal interest in Planning Application 19/2003/12 on the ground that the applicant was a neighbour. Mrs Kent declared a prejudicial interest in the same matter as her property overlooked the site and left the meeting whilst the application was being discussed.

952 Application for Planning Permission at Unit 9 Hatch Mews Business Park (Application No 19/2003/012)

Members considered this application for planning permission to extend Unit 9 at Hatch Mews Business Park. Whilst there was concern at the overall impact of the enlarged unit, members concluded that from a purely planning perspective these were insufficient to object to the development

RESOLVED That TDBC be informed that in principle the Council is not against the proposal as described in the application, but would :-

a) emphasise the need to safeguard by condition the boundary of the development site with the adjoining dwelling "The Laurels" and in particular a requirement for the provision of substantial landscaping fronting Station Road and along the western gable of the extended building

b) propose that to protect the privacy of the adjacent dwelling the proposed roof lights in the extension should be for light only and should be non-opening

c) stress the importance of making the extension an integral part of the existing building by ensuring that the materials used in the extension are the same as those used in the original building as proposed in the application, with adherence to the details set out in the plans

d) ask that control be taken over the hours when construction works may be undertaken, that these be limited to normal working hours with no work on Saturdays and Sundays, and that the hours of use of the extension be limited in the same way as the Business Park.

(Note:- Mr Buck asked that the fact that he had abstained from voting on Application No 19/2003/012 be recorded in the minutes)

953 Application for Planning Permission at The Old Police House (Application No 19/2003/013)

RESOLVED That TDBC be informed that the Council has no objection to this application to erect a replacement shed at The Old Police House
